When the Apostle Peter sought to describe what it means to be a Christian, he provided profound insight into God’s motive for saving a people for His own possession. In 1 Peter 2:9, Peter tells us that God has redeemed Christians 

“so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvellous light.” 

We serve a magnificently gracious God who has forgiven our sins and satisfied our souls. In response to His love, we are called to “proclaim His excellencies” to all who will listen.

In our journey of faith, we find inspiration in the words of the Apostle Peter. Just as he revealed God’s profound motive for saving us, we, too, discover our purpose. As residents of Keilor East, we recognise the transformative power of God’s grace in our lives. In this vibrant community, we are called to be living testimonies of His grace. Guided by 1 Peter 2:9, we understand that we are chosen and redeemed to be bearers of God’s light amid Melbourne’s local and surrounding neighbourhoods. It is our privilege to declare His glory and share the hope found in Him with all those we encounter.

Saving Grace Bible Church is dedicated to fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) by taking the Gospel to our community through evangelism. Our philosophy of ministry regarding evangelism is rooted in biblical principles:

• God-Centered: Our outreach efforts are grounded in the glory and sovereignty of God. We believe in making Him the focus of our endeavours, recognising that salvation is ultimately the work of God’s grace.
• Discipleship-Oriented: Evangelism is not merely about decisions but about making disciples. We are committed to nurturing and discipling those who respond to the Gospel message.
